Details of recent meetings of the BPP Legal Awareness Society
Many thanks to those of you who attended last night a very enjoyable meeting of the BPP Legal Awareness Society at the Business School. We discussed the system currently in place for employment law, benefits and pensions, in England and Wales.
We had a chance to watch the following videos:
1. A brief guide to retirement planning.

2. An overview of ‘employment and pensions’ in an e-tutorial produced by the Society.

We also discussed in detail the ‘employment and support allowance’. The presentation will shortly be uploaded onto the http://www.legal-aware.org website.
Our fourth meeting this term will be in a fortnight’s time (Wednesday 27th July 2011), at 5 pm. Details to follow. Our timetable is http://legal-aware.org/2011/05/timetable-for-bpp-legal-awareness-society-2-mary-axe-semesters-2-and-3-20112/. We’ll be discussing competition, and the importance of its regulation in business, including the functions of the OFT and the Competition Commission.
Best wishes, Shibley and Majid
