However there is mixed evidence that we will officially go into recession (two quarters of negative growth) there is little consensus from the economists as usual on that other than if it is recession then it will be very shallow and only technical .If you worked in Business like I do you rather than academia like Eoin or read the PMI surveys from Markit you will see the mood is an optimistic one.

There is a long way to go to 2015 so the headline is a little extreme. 

Todays papers talk about construction sector returning to growth see today&#039;s Independent and Guardian for example so not sure what you mean re &#039;construction sector reporting figures unparalleled since 1963&#039;

If Labour wants credibility on the economy then it really must stop this silly pretence about the Coalition&#039;s deficit reduction plan as it pretty dam close the &#039;Darling&#039; plan.</description>
